The 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens is a fascinating subject. My husband and I were in Africa with the Peace Corps when it happened, but we visited the mountain as soon as we returned home to WA. This was 1982 and it was like another world. In my latest novel, Tenderfoot, a romantic suspense with a sub-plot of the MSH 1980 eruption, I've captured much of that research. All references to the mountain are accurate and I wove a story around it.
